The Dynamic Hot Rods

from the right, Tony Nabarro harmonica, George East, Sean Conran, Jimmmy Lawrence.

The Hot Rods
The group s name (late 50s/early 60s) The Hot Rods but they seem to have had loads of members.
The drummer is indeed Jim Lawrence and while The Barnsley Brothers the twins are fondly remembered as the men who started and ran BASINS in the 1980s. Mick was one of the Brothers.
So, these (as above) are the HOT RODs too at least one incarnation. many people passed through their ranks and I can only name three for certain here:
(L-R) Tony Nabbaro gtr/harmonica, George East (gtr), Jim Lawrence drums, bass player who may be Colin Wilkinson? Sean Conlan, Johnny Witt drums, Ricky Cripps, Colin Quaintance guitar. (Check out those speakers)
George was the licencee at the Leopold Pub in Albert Road, then went to France and wrote a few books about his time there. Most recently living on the Isle of Wight.
Other members included;- Danny Raven, David Quinton and Colin Wood (Renegades, Strollers, J Crow Combo)
